✨Yoga is not for the flexible is for the willing.✨
This was my goal pose #asana for a few years in my personal practice and I could finally do it in a class a while ago when I was taking a yoga class and the teacher was building up the poses in the class to get to this peak backbend #chakrasana
I felt since the beginning of that class that it would be the day I would go for it and probably it would happen and when the time came, this amazing teacher Jennifer @yoga_unplugged saw me so determined and focused trying to stretch my arms and she just came to my help and placed her hands under my back and voila there it was!👏👏It was a full class and she came straight to me and she told me later that she totally “saw me” and saw that the mobility of my spine was there and that I was one inch away of doing it so she gave me the safety to do it, maybe emotional, maybe physical or something else.. 🙏😍
As a supreme heart opener this asana utilizes and stretches almost every major muscle in your body. It is excellent for strengthening the heart and ignite love 💕 from whitin. It also increases energy and balances the body and nervous system.
After that day, it turned into my daily practice, is one of my favorite backbends and I keep improving a little bit everyday coming on my tip toes, raising one leg then the other and so on. It might not be the most perfect wheel pose on Instagram but it makes me really happy and since that day that gave me assurance that you can do everything that you put your mind into, use your practice, keep your focus and is determined to do it. I hope my little story helps inspiring other yogis to take chakrasana off the scary asana list and put it on their goal asana list.
